A.R.T. Ballista Twin Turbo #1800
Runs Texas World Speedway Full Oval
Cautioned by the officials to keep it under control, pro driver Kuno Wittmer grinned, nodded his head, and proceeded to do what any child with a Ballista Twin Turbo Viper would do, he dropped the hammer!
Hitting over 232 mph on the back straight, Wittmer was only using 1400 rwhp of the over 2000 on tap. Geforces and concern for the condition of the high banks forced the Ballista to back down half way down each straight.
In a later interview, Wittmer was quoted with what could only be put as amazement at the shear stability of the Dodge Viper born Ballista Twin Turbo.
When asked if he would do it again, he commented, Absolutely!
The A.R.T. Ballista Twin Turbo #1800 is slated to air on Versus in the next Dodge Viper Cup series, as well as on Tom Hnatiw's Hard Drive.

The Spring 2011 Texas Mile has come and gone, but our efforts will not be forgotten.
We set out to test our design changes, and the limits of our scientific theory.
Day one we held the fastest Mile record of any vehicle for the day.
Day two we broke the Viper World Record three more times in a row, finishing with a best of 240.9 MPH and again the fastest vehicle of the day.
Thanks to the efforts of our fanastic team of experts, it all went off smooth, and we are excited to return and push the record up another notch!
Let us not forget to thank DODGE, for building the Dodge Viper SRT-10 that is soon to be the World's fastest street car!
